Lee Chick is a tax Principal and CPA with Berry, Dunn, McNeil & Parker in Bangor and is a member of the Firm’s Tax Services Group. With almost 30 years experience in public accounting, Lee is the firm-wide resource on taxation of timber transactions, providing advice and "best practices" to his colleagues and clients. Lee provides consulting services on income tax and retirement plans to clients in a wide variety of industries including the forest products industry. Lee is a member of the Forest Landowners Tax Council and has served on the Taxation Committee of the Maine Forest Products Council.
Lee also provides tax consulting including assistance with accounting for income tax, employee benefit plan compliance and compensation packages, multi-state and international tax planning, and sales and use tax reporting.
Lee is a sought-after speaker in the Bangor area on various topics, including timber tax issues presented at the Husson College Tax Institute, estate planning to the Small Woodlot Owners of Maine, real estate investing with IRA Funds to MEREDA, and other topics at local seminars and conferences.
