Background
Art is a Senior Manager in the Berry Dunn Business Valuation Practice Group, a business valuation, consulting and litigation support services practice serving clients in a variety of industry groups and geographic markets. Art holds the Accredited Valuation Analyst (AVA) designation from the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts and has nine years of professional consulting experience in addition to a twenty year management career in the hospitality and leisure industry. Art’s business valuation experience includes gift and estate valuation, economic damages calculations, lost profits, FLP/LLC valuation, divorce valuation, merger and acquisition analysis and support, shareholder dispute valuation and Ad Valorem property tax abatement work. Art also provides hospitality consulting services to the Firm’s Hospitality, Outdoor Recreation and Health Care Group clients in the areas of operational assessments, strategic planning, budgeting and marketing support.
Prior to joining the Firm in 1999, Art enjoyed a twenty year operational career in the hotel and restaurant industry where he held general management positions with such organizations as Hilton and Holiday Inns. Art spent twelve of those years in the ski resort industry as Vice President of Lodging at the Bolton Valley Resort in Vermont and at the Sunday River Ski Resort in Maine.
Art has lectured on hospitality and business valuation topics in a number of Association conferences as well as at the Cornell University Hotel School and the Greater Boston Real Estate Finance Association.
